This is my son’s glove that John worked on for me. Even though the glove was relatively new my son was saying that he wanted a new glove, mostly for style reasons. When the dog chewed a couple of the laces in half I saw an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I sent the glove to John at ProLace Gloves to fix the damage. I can do simple glove relacing but I would never attempt to fully relace a whole glove with complex laces like this one. That’s a job for a pro like John at ProLace. At the same time he was going to replace the broken laces and refurbish the leather I had John put red lace in to replace the old, standard brown. The new red lace matches the Rawlings insignias and really makes the glove stand out. My son loves the new look. It’s was like getting a whole new glove except at much less the cost and without any of the hassle of breaking in a new glove. So for those of you with kids who are serious about baseball or softball, before you think about buying a new glove I suggest you look into just sending it to John at ProLace Gloves to get it relaced, refurbished and personalized. It will save you money over buying a new glove, time breaking in and it will allow your player to make their glove an extension of their personality in a way that they will love.
